Seeing the stars again – In the footsteps of Dante along the Via Francigena
Here is a review of destinations, related to Dante, on the Siena section of the Via Francigena. The detail sheets, which can be accessed directly from the Dante icon on the interactive map, identify the connection between the places described, the Supreme Poet and his Divine Comedy.
A connection that can be pleasantly discovered, often rediscovered, both on foot and by bicycle. Use of the interactive maps, in addition to facilitating the specific visit, provides visitors with the immediate geolocation of accommodation facilities that are able to offer a dedicated welcome for cyclists and walkers. Without forgetting that the search for enjoyable experiences also applies to distracted or forgetful locals.
