I Vicini Winery are owned by the Antonioli family. The founder Romano, a civil lawyer of the capital, cultivated the ancient passion of his ancestors for viticulture.
The 20 Ha of vineyards are located on the hill in front of Cortona, 1 kilometer from Lake Trasimeno from which they draw the beneficial lake microclimate.
The vines grown are black Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, black Merlot and Sangiovese grosso.
The cultivation of the vines follows principles of naturalness, excluding chemical fertilizers.
The winery produces DOP wines: Laudario Syrah Cortona, Laudario Cabernet Sauvignon and Laudario Merlot and IGP wines: Arengario Rosato Toscano and Ternario Rosso Toscano.
DOP wines are vinified for one year in steel, 16-18 months mature in French oak barrels of 10-25HL, with subsequent refinement of six months in the bottle. The owners joyfully welcome natural wine lovers, happy to toast with those who appreciate elegant and quality products.
