The Poggio Landi winery and wine shop are situated along the permanent L’Eroica vintage cycling route. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees, the wine shop’s panoramic hilltop terrace enjoys all-round views, extending from Montalcino as far as the Val d’Orcia and Monte Amiata.
Poggio Landi is one of the largest organic-certified estates in Montalcino. The grapes are grown in approximately 60 hectares under vine, stretching between 175 and 550 meters in altitude, across several of the most prestigious areas in the appellation. The variety of soil types and aspects enables the winery to benefit from an extraordinary biodiversity.
Generous, harmonious and complex, Poggio Landi wines are refined expressions of the appellations of Montalcino. The three traditional labels – Brunello di Montalcino, Brunello Riserva and Rosso di Montalcino – are now flanked by Chiuso del Lupo, a Poggio Landi Brunello cru from a vineyard of barely one hectares south-east of Montalcino, near La Crociona (550 meters above sea level.).
