Our palace, is located in one of the oldest parts of the village, where until 1800, were the land belonging to the church of Santa Maria dei Servi (XIII century).
For the restoration we were inspired by the talented and young Italian-Swedish entrepreneur Daniele Kihlgren, and his Albergo Diffuso in Santo Stefano di Sessanio in Abruzzo, Gino Girolomoni, father of Italian organic farming, with his company in Montebello in the Marche region, Carlo Petrini, founder of Slowfood, and finally by the political philosophy of the late Mayor of Pollica, Angelo Vassallo, his beautiful idea of the city and Slow community.
Taking advantage of their example, we too have tried to recover, rather than restore, a noble house, conceived and built in the middle of the 19th century, to house not only the owners, but also waiters, cooks, grooms, families, sharecroppers and now too big for the needs of a modern family.
We have divided it into comfortable flats and have tried as much as possible to rationalize and reduce the environmental impact of such a large building, insulating it and using the most modern hydro-electric plants and above all, the experience of the local workers.
